  • 1. Mass production and distribution of microalgae materials, necessary for developing the production of biodiesel.

    Based on the microalgae cultivation technology of the company (strengthening freshness, and functions and expanding the expiration date at room temperature), we deliver the microalgal products to promote the industrialization of the biodiesel development by distributing products from the cultivation technology that increases the lipid content for each of microaglae cell. Also, to enhance the amount of the fatty acid, the researches are being conducted in various conditions.

    2. Developing bioresources that strengthen the functions (antioxidation), whitening effect, cancer preventive effect, and etc.-raw materials for cosmetic products and health food

    Antioxidants such as Lutein, Astaxanthin, and Cantaxathin, originated from microalgae in fresh water and sea water by USA, Australia, Italy, Germany, Israel, and etc. have been proved by reports to be superior to the existing synthetic vitamin E (tocopherol) and beta-carotene. As a high value product, astaxanthin records more than multi-billion dollar sales size in USA only, and the unsaturated fatty acid such as EPA, DHA, ARA, and etc. which are extracted from diatom by Martek, USA is out on the market. As a result, my company plans to industrialize the biomaterials after strengthening the functions of microalgae which reaches its full growth in various cultivation conditions.

    3.Sequestering carbon dioxide-CDM project

    Since Korea is likely to join countries to reduce carbon out of obligation in 2013, it is necessary to have research infrastructure to prepare for the carbon emission market of CDM. Microalga is an excellent resource at absorbing CO2 in atmosphere and under water for containing the CO2 absorption capacity which is 123~658 times higher than corns. To reinforce the competitiveness of the carbon emission market, the company is going to distribute the photobioreactor which is capable of accurate exponential calculation for how much of CO2 is absorbed by microalgae per unit area.

    4. Business for improving water quality and ecosystem

    The company is in charge of services to improve water quality and ecosystem at lakes and coasts of Dokdo, Yeongil Bay, Sae Man Keum hinterland, the four major rivers, Yeongcheon Dam, and Woonmun Dam.
